What is Chia?

Instead of energy-hungry mining, Chia "farmers" fill spare disk space with plots, and a verifiable delay function proves that real time has passed between blocks. Your chance to win a block grows with the space you allocate. Chia docs

CATs
Chia Asset Tokens are tokens issued on Chia, each with its own rules for creating and destroying it (its TAIL). Chia docs
NFTs
Chia NFTs follow the NFT1 standard: each one is a unique on-chain item with its content links, optional creator ID and royalties built in. CHIP-0005
Low fees
When the network isn't busy, a 1-mojo fee is enough to get a transaction into a block. Even when blocks are full, Chia's docs list the minimum fee to mint an NFT as 0.000265 XCH. Chia docs

Never share it, type it into a website, or send it to anyone. Anyone who has it controls everything in the wallet.
Token To Play will never ask for your seed phrase: not by email, chat, DM, support or any form. Anyone who asks is a scammer.
Signing in only signs a message. It can't move funds, approve a transfer or give anyone access to your wallet.
Install Sage (any device) or the Chia reference wallet (desktop) from the links above.
Create a new wallet. In Sage: Create wallet, give it a name. In the reference wallet: choose Wallet Mode, then Create a new wallet key. The app shows your seed phrase (12 or 24 words; the reference wallet uses 24). Chia docs
Write the words on paper, in order, and check every word. Keep it somewhere safe and offline. A second copy in a different safe place helps. Don't screenshot it or store it in email, cloud notes or chat.
Confirm the backup if the app asks you to re-enter some words, and set a device lock or app password.
Find your address. It starts with xch1 on mainnet (txch1 on testnet). This is public and safe to share; it's where trophies would be sent.
Sign in here: tap Connect wallet → Sage or Chia wallet, open the pairing link or scan the QR code, then approve Sign Message in your wallet. On desktop with Goby installed, pick Goby instead. Prefer copy and paste? Use Sign a message manually.

FAQ
Do I need any XCH to sign in?
No. Signing in is a signed text message, not a transaction, so there's no fee and your balance can be zero.
What exactly do I sign?
A short message like token2play.com wants you to sign in with your Chia wallet. … Nonce: 3f9c… Network: mainnet. The nonce is random and works once, so a signature can't be reused. Your wallet shows the full text before you approve it.
Can signing in move my funds?
No. A message signature can't spend coins, approve a transfer or give anyone access to your wallet. We never ask you to send XCH or approve a transaction.
Mainnet or testnet?
Either works for sign-in, since it only proves you control an address. Trophy and credit demos will run on Chia's testnet first.
Can I play without a wallet?
Yes. Every game is free to play as a guest. Guest scores still rank, but they're marked unverified and anyone can type the same name.
I'm on my phone. What should I use?
Sage on Android or iOS. Tap Connect wallet → Sage or Chia wallet, open the pairing link (or scan the QR from another screen), then approve Sign Message in Sage.
Are trophies or credits worth money?
No. Leaderboards, handles and badges have no cash value. High-score NFT trophies and CAT credits are planned as a commemorative testnet demo first, they're not live yet, and we don't promise they'll ever have monetary value.
I lost my seed phrase. Can you help?
Nobody can recover it: not us, not the wallet maker. That's why the backup matters. You can sign in with a new wallet and pick a new handle.

That's a scam. We will never ask for it, by email, chat, DM, support ticket or any form. Don't reply. Move your funds to a new wallet if you already shared it.
